#040 - Singing Ringing Tree

The Singing Ringing Tree is part of a series of sculptures being installed in Eastern Lancashire that forms part of the Panopticon.

The sculpture is sited on top of the moor above Burnley, a wild and windy place. The hollow tubes are tuned and slots cut into them. In a similar way to how a flute works, as the wind blows across the slot the tube produce a note depending upon it's length.

I enjoyed looking through your work - well done on getting into the Daily Telegraph :-)

I think you're a good ways ahead of me on not just the technical side! I've exhibited and sold a few canvases of my mono work so it can't be that bad :)

A critique of www.highton-ridley.co.uk (mono) would be most welcome.

Cheers,
Mark
